ISO14001/ISO45001 external surveillance audit conducted

Monday, May 20th, 2024

We conducted recertification audits (renewal audits) for ISO14001 (environment) and ISO45001 (labor).
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those involved who cooperated and guided our ISO activities.

This year, the Construction Safety Group took the lead in this endeavor as well.
We are carrying out ISO activities that involve all employees, rather than just managers and promoters.
Rather than activities for the sake of audits, reviewing the implementation status of safety and health activities over the past year leads to new realizations.

In addition, it has been decided that all management system standards will be revised in September 2023 to include “consideration for climate change.”
Next year, we will work on ISO activities taking into account the revisions.

the National Occupational Health Week will be held.

From October 1 to October 7, 2023, the National Occupational Health Week will be held.

We conducted safety patrols in the Kansai region.

Thursday, August 17th, 2023

We conducted safety patrols in the Kansai region.

We confirmed the thorough implementation of safety measures, such as assigning supervisors during crane operations, the ‘3-3-3 movement’ during heavy lifting work, and ensuring that everyone on scaffolds is properly securing hooks, and more.

During the summer vacation, various areas were hit by typhoons. Not limited to the sites where this patrol was conducted, we perform inspections at various locations before resuming work. In case of any abnormalities, we promptly take measures such as repairs, maintenance, and improvements to ensure a safe working environment before commencing work.

Implementation of Heatstroke Prevention

Friday, August 4th, 2023

As we enter August, the heat has become even more intense. Working in long-sleeved work attire and helmets during Japan’s hot and humid summer can be quite challenging.

Since May, when our bodies have not yet acclimated to the heat, our company has been implementing heatstroke prevention measures. Given that we have construction projects all across the country, the perceived temperature can vary depending on the region, type of work, and weather conditions.

We value our employees’ feedback and suggestions and are committed to making improvements to their working conditions, taking into account these factors and ensuring that everyone working with us can do so as comfortably as possible.

We conducted new employee orientation and training.

Thursday, June 1st, 2023

We conducted new employee orientation and training.

We have conducted the ISO 14001/45001 re-certification audit.

Tuesday, March 28th, 2023

We have completed the re-certification audit for ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety). We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the individuals who have supported and guided our ISO activities.

It’s not often that we have the opportunity to review the implementation and effectiveness of our in-house health and safety activities. Through ISO, we have a chance for improvement and insights every year. This fiscal year, the number of safety patrols has increased by more than three times compared to the previous year. From next year, we aim to focus not just on the frequency but also on the effectiveness of corrective actions and more.

As a company that carries out construction projects nationwide, we have identified new challenges related to communication. Instead of ISO activities being concentrated in certain areas, we aim to engage all employees as we move forward.

Evacuation Drill Conducted

Tuesday, March 14th, 2023

Under the supervision of the Construction Safety Group, we conducted an evacuation drill for office personnel. The drill focused on anticipated emergencies in the office, including fires, tsunamis, and earthquakes.

During disasters, panic can easily set in, and situations often don’t follow the manual. The goal was to ensure that everyone could respond calmly in emergencies, and we practiced various aspects such as reporting and information dissemination, evacuation routes and assembly points, the location and usage of fire extinguishers, among other safety procedures.

Office Staff Patrol with ISO Internal Audit

Wednesday, March 1st, 2023

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the general affairs group’s site patrols, which had been suspended, were resumed and combined with an internal audit for ISO. This marked the first time in several years that these patrols were conducted.

With the addition of new employees over the years, some of whom were seeing the site for the first time, the occasion provided a valuable opportunity to understand how the safety documents they create, as well as equipment inspection forms, are being used to ensure the safety of on-site personnel during demolitions.

We aim to continue these efforts in the future.

Supervisor and Safety Health Manager Training Conducted

Thursday, January 19th, 2023

We conducted training for supervisors and safety health managers targeting on-site supervisors from cooperating companies. Our company conducts practical training sessions that include hands-on guidance in accordance with labor safety and health regulations.

Through this training, we aim for participants to understand the role of supervisors, enhance their skills, and improve their safety awareness.
